Dr. Vasu Vashishtha is a consultant laparoscopic and gastrointestinal surgeon in the Department of Laparoscopic, Laser and General Surgery at the prestigious Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.

He completed his graduation (MBBS) from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore; in 2014 after getting an AIR of 225, he was selected for Post- Graduation (DNB in General Surgery) in the prestigious Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (GRIPMER), New Delhi. In 2017, he won the NK Mehra award as the best Post Graduate student of the department. In 2017, he served as a Senior resident in the department of laparoscopic and general surgery, where he got trained in advanced laparoscopic and abdominal surgeries, along with that he was trained in open and video assisted Thoracic (chest) surgeries. In 2019, he went to Galaxy Hospital, Pune, where he was trained in Laparoscopic and robotic oncological (cancer) surgeries. 
He has a keen interest and training in advanced hernia surgeries including both open and laparoscopic like abdominoplasty, TEP, TAPP, eTEP, eTEP-RS, TARM, SCOLA. Apart from general laparoscopic surgeries he has training in advance colorectal surgeries and hepatobiliary surgeries as well. He has done research work in the field of laparoscopic surgeries, published multiple articles in international and Indian journals and has presented his work in this field at national and international conferences.

Dr. Vasu Vashishtha has a vast experience of more than 12 years in clinical practice and more than 8 years in the field of laparoscopic surgeries.
He along with his team perform advanced laparoscopic surgeries including hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal system on a daily basis with an average of approximately 1000 cases per year.
